All ROVER equipment meets European EUROVENT standards and has ROSSTANDART Certificates of conformity. ROVER uses all modern designs and advanced technologies in production process.

 

Safety

 

1. Disconnection by fire alarm sensor

Automatic equipment deactivation via fire alarm sensor is configured to increase safety.

2. Fire resistant construction

Fire resistant construction of the electrical box of the indoor unit has a modern safe design, capable of resisting the effects of open fire. In case of a short circuit or a spark in the electrical components of the unit, the flame will not escape the electrical box and cause fire.

3. Proper and fault free operation of the chiller

High capacity chillers have 2-4 independent refrigeration circuits, in which no more than three scroll compressors are installed. Such a solution guarantees proper and fault free operation of the chiller in different loads and external conditions, while maintaining 50-75% efficiency in case of emergency.

4. Heat exchangers with double shell

Heat pump condenser is a pipe-to-pipe heat exchanger with double shell which completely eliminates leakage of refrigerant.

5. Safe installation

Automatic detection of address codes and debugging simplify the installation process, reduce risk of possible errors and increase operation safety.

6. Voltage drop protection

Stable operation of ROVER VRF systems is guaranteed even if significant voltage fluctuation occurs (from 320 to 460 V). In case of one outdoor unit compressor or fan operation failure modular VRF system can operate in emergency mode. It is also possible to turn off cooling mode in winter or heating mode in summer manually to avoid an error due to the mode conflict.

7. Safe design

Standard seal between shell, frame and panels of ROVER AHU is carried out by self-adhesive rubber gaskets. Special rubber seal is available for outdoor design.

Aluminum alloy roof for outdoor design protects equipment against precipitation. Roof joints of individual modules are covered with protective coating which guarantees impermeability of moisture and dust.

All materials and coatings of the interior air conditioner parts allow to exclude accumulation of static electricity on their surfaces. Internal cavities of air conditioner are smooth, with minimum protrusions and cavities, to avoid accumulation of various contaminants.

 

Silence

 

Modern technologies used in ROVER manufacturing allow creating residential and commercial air conditioners of the highest quality. Great importance is attached to level of noise produced by equipment while operating. Therefore, all models are tested in anechoic chambers.

Walls and ceilings of anechoic chambers are lined with absorbent for shielding from high-frequency disturbance. Sound isn’t reflected from walls, and chambers also isolated from external acoustic signals. This allows excluding sound reflection from walls and noise from the outside while measuring a signal that came directly from an air conditioner in a sound free space.

 

Energy saving

 

1. DC inverter

DC inverter technology allows smooth regulation of rotation speed within 5-65 Hz, providing lower noise, vibration reduction and stable operation.

Maximization of the rotary moment at the minimum operating current makes it possible to reduce energy losses in motor winding in order to increase efficiency.

Underfrequency control allows precise adjustment of the rotary moment of motor, whereby fan engine can operate at a lower speed. Users feel more comfortable while system requirements are also satisfied.

2. Intelligent defrost

ROVER Intelligent Defrost program automatically activates defrosting process when it is necessary - only when the heat exchanger is frozen. When frost is removed, defrosting ends automatically. As a result, energy consumption is significantly reduced, and consumer receives maximum comfort.

3. Energy saving modes of VRF systems

ROVER VRF systems provide two energy-saving modes:

- due to automatic regulation of the system operation parameters in accordance with current air temperature in the room, energy consumption is reduced by 15%;

- by compulsory limiting of power consumption energy consumption is reduced by 20%.

4. Automatic energy distribution of VRF systems

In modular VRF systems energy is automatically distributed so that when performance reaches 75% (of ODU rated capacity) one more unit is activated. If performance drops to 40%, one unit is automatically turned off. This allows each unit to operate in 40-75% of total load, which contributes to the lowest energy consumption.

5. Precise temperature control in VRF systems

High efficiency and energy saving are also achieved by temperature control which limits the minimum set temperature in the cooling and drying mode and the maximum set temperature in the heating mode. Due to temperature regulation in narrower range energy consumption is reduced.

6. Effective load dispatching

Automatic even load dispatching between outdoor units is organized for modular systems. This reduces power consumption and extends service life of the equipment.

7. Freecooling system

Freecooling system installed in ROVER chillers allows using natural cold for water chilling. This system includes water heat exchangers (installed before condensers), hydraulic connections and chiller controlled valves to distribute cooled liquid flow. Liquid cooling occurs due to external air which passes through radiator with the cooled liquid. Air blows through the axial fans which cool liquid inside radiator. Freecooling system allows to save energy for liquid cooling considerably and to increase service life of the equipment. Payback period of a chiller with Freecooling system is 1,5-2 years for industrial application and up to 4-5 years for comfortable use of a chiller.

 

Filters and cleaning

 

1. Silver ion filter

This filter provides constant high efficiency air purification from bacteria. Silver ions in it are able to sterilize 99% of bacteria, suppressing mold reproduction and eliminating causes of unpleasant odors.

2. Formaldehyde filter

This filter removes formaldehyde and other volatile organic compounds as well as harmful gases and unpleasant odors.

3. Cold Plasma filter

Plasma filter is able to neutralize and remove more than 95% of the smells and micro particles off the air. Such an effect is achieved by means of high voltage electric field.

4. Anti-Legionella function

Function of killing Legionella bacteria: disinfection starts automatically once a week. For a given time the heat pump will heat water to a high temperature at which bacteria in the water will die.

5. Mechanical filter

Mechanical filter (plastic mesh) removes large solid particles - fiber, pet hair, poplar fluff, large particles of dust, etc.

6. Multifunctional filter

A three-layer filter combined from six filters of different types, including an acarobacterial filter (for dust mite removal), a catechine filter, a chitin filter, a formaldehyde filter and a vitamin C filter. This filter is designed specially to meet all your needs at the same time.

7. Self-cleaning system

For successful operation of air conditioners a self-cleaning system is built in. It prevents moisture accumulation on the heat exchanger and prevents contamination of the indoor unit of an air conditioner. After unit is turned off, fan will continue to rotate at a low speed until internal surfaces of the unit are completely dried. This function helps to prevent mold appearance and keep air in the room clean and fresh.

 

Low temperature operation

 

1. Air cooling at negative temperature

ROVER air conditioners continue cooling at -15 °C: performance of the compressor and fan speed of the outdoor unit change in accordance with outside air temperature.

2. Air heating at negative temperature

ROVER air conditioners perfectly heat air at outdoor temperature -15 °С. Preheating and variable compressor performance ensure high-quality operation in the heating mode.


3. Work at low ambient temperature

ROVER chillers have "unloading" function which allows keeping chiller functioning in conditions beyond operation range. They can also be equipped with a factory kit that provides operation at outdoor temperature -30 °C and higher.

 

Various rover advantages

 

1. Cooling system

Three components ensure smooth operation of ROVER air conditioners cooling system: a stably working compressor, a heat exchanger with an improved piping system and an electronic extension valve that controls refrigerant flow precisely.

2. Corrosion-resistant equipment

Air condenser heat exchangers are easily accessible and safe for maintenance. They can be made in several corrosion-resistant versions, such as copper-copper, "blygold" coating, epoxy coating. This allows installation in unfavorable climatic regions.

Fins of the heat exchangers of outdoor and indoor units are made of an aluminum and manganese alloy and coated with gold for additional protection. They also have a hydrophilic coating - all this increases resistance to corrosion.

3. Hermetic scroll and semi-hermetic screw compressors

Сhillers use hermetic scroll compressors and semi-hermetic screw compressors installed in one, two, three or four refrigeration circuits. Compressors are equipped with electric crankcase heaters to prevent oil and refrigerant from mixing while stopped, shut-off valves and electronic overload protection modules. Compressors are located inside isolated compartment equipped with removable panels for easy access.

4. Self-cleaning submersible evaporator

ROVER chillers designed for industrial sector have a submersible coaxial evaporator that is resistant to of impurities present of circulating water supply system at the factory. This type of evaporator is not prone to thawing if water flow is unstable or underestimated. Integration of an evaporator into a storage tank allowed lower heat loss and reducing chiller's dimensions. Chillers with this type of evaporator can operate in an open system of plant's cold supply, where technological process is associated with inevitable loss of water from the system.

5. Hot gas bypass in the refrigerant circuit

Bypassing hot gas in the refrigeration circuit extends the range of operation and depth of the chiller's capacity control. This is important when cooling some specific industrial processes.

6. High efficient heat recovery

ROVER chillers can have additional heat exchangers to use heat taken from cooled water. During warm period of the year it allows heating water simultaneously with cooling for the needs of hot water supply. There are two options for heat recovery: a partial 20% when heat of superheated refrigerant after compressor is used and a full 100% when heat exchanger is connected in parallel to condenser.
